In the last few months making music has been both an escape and a comfort. I work in a converted garage at the end of our garden, and once in there with the door closed I feel protected !
The sounds that once were , shrieking from the school playground down the road, and cars driving by were replaced by silence, wind , birdsong and the flapping of wings, also the skittering of blackbirds feet walking across the garage roof. In the day I would watch the massive bulks of cloud moving across the sky, and at night time the garden would be lit up briefly by the sudden flash of blue lights from ambulances going by, sirens silent.

Flowers at Night is the music of Juno Cheetal from Sherkin Island, Ireland.

Her sound is characterised by multi layering of synths, strings, bass lines, guitar loops going through pedals and layering of vocal harmonies and electronic soundscapes.

She uses mainly vintage 80s synths like the Roland Juno106, Jupiter 8, Mini Moog, Roland W30, 808, 909 drum machines, and live drums, as well as the autoharp, and field recordings .
Her inspiration comes from 80s instrumental B sides and film soundtracks. She also composes music for theatre and short films.

All music is written, arranged and recorded by Juno Cheetal ( Flowers At Night ) June 2020.
